Mito launches commercial road transport scholarships for 2025

In partnership with Inspiring Futures Foundation, applications are now open for MITO's Commercial Road Transport scholarships. These scholarships are an opportunity to empower the workforce, enhance employee professional development as they actively learn new skills on-the-job and strive towards national qualifications.

These scholarships cover either one qualification or up to three micro-credentials:

Micro-credentials:

• Heavy Combination Vehicle Loading Fundamentals

• Driver Safety

• Mass and Dimensions.

Qualifications:

• New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Specialist Driver) - Transportation of Logs

• New Zealand Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Heavy Vehicle Operator).

There are a limited number of scholarships available to cover training for these programmes. Applications close 5pm Tuesday 16 July.

Criteria:

• Open to all current employees in this industry

• Programme must commence in 2024

• Open to NZ citizens and residents.
